After coming back with his "Hakuna Matata" single a few months back and recently completing his solo concert, MC Sniper's relationship with Japanese musician Ryuichi Sakamoto has been gaining attention in both Korea and Japan. Their relationship dates back to 2004, the year the two collaborated on an album titled "Undercooled." Sakamoto had personally requested the participation of MC Sniper and expressed that he wanted his 'voice' for the album. Fast forward to the present, and their relationship was rekindled again with Sniper Sound's newest UCC stars, DOZ. DOZ have been receiving much love calls from popular Japanese entertainment agencies based on just their UCC video, "Arigato Gozaimasu," alone and have recently finished performances in clubs in Shibuya, Ginza, and Yokohama. What surprised Japanese netizens and Avex representatives alike is that Ryuichi Sakamoto personally welcomed MC Sniper and DOZ by sending congratulatory flowers upon DOZ's arrival in Japan. A representative of Sniper Sound revealed, "It's surprising enough that rookie duo DOZ managed to land a contract with Avex, but Ryuichi Sakamoto, being one of the greatest Japanese musicians, sending congratulatory flowers means a lot to MC Sniper." MC Sniper expressed his thanks in a personal e-mail and is currently preparing for DOZ's debut album to be released this December. Source + Photos: Osen
