The November issue of 'Elle' magazine will showcase IU's gradual transformation as she comes of age. From her high-school concept of 'cute and innocent' to her hidden siren look, IU demonstrates that she can kill it in whatever image you place her in. Although IU has been busy releasing duets with Seulong, Sung Si Kyung, and Yoo Seung Ho, she still kept her student status close to her heart. When she arrived at the photoshoot, she had just left school and was still in her uniform. Pre-debut, she used to be one of the top students in her middle school but her grades suffered a sharp drop as she concentrated on her career. She told the interviewer, "I had excellent grades until my debut in my third year of middle school. I'm not disheartened; rather, I believe in my path. I'm not very good at multitasking or juggling between studying and music, so I've got to concentrate on one goal." She also commented on her previous duets when asked to pick the best partner, "We all have individual appeals. My most recent duet was with (senior) Sung Shi Kyung, and I keep in contact with him.
