Since Goo Hara's debut with Kara, she has been often compared with Japanese star Namie Amuro due to their similar looks. Korea's sexy queen Lee Hyori seems to agree with this comparison, and spoke up about it on KBS Happy Together Season 3 during an episode with Goo Hara and MBLAQ's Lee Joon. One of the MC's, Park Mi Sun, said, "With the success of their debut in Japan, Goo Hara is gaining lots of attention due to her resemblance to Namie Amuro." Lee Hyori then said, "I think Hara is prettier then Namie Amuro." Goo Hara, who was very happy to receive a compliment about her looks, then stood up and did a 90 degree bow to her sunbae. However, Shin Bong Sun then stated, "But the one who is prettier than Goo Hara is you, isn't it?" which Lee Hyori jokingly answered, "Of course," bringing laughter to the set.
