After choosing not to renew their contract with Woolim Entertainment, Epik High has decided to strike out on their own, producing and maintaining its own website www.mapthesoul.com to reach out to their fans as well as releasing their new book album. Epik High expressed, "We will be releasing out new book album on the 27th through our own website www.mapthesoul.com exclusively. There will be no record labels, distributers or middlemen and is our new way of interacting with our fans directly. This will be a first in Korea and a new challenge for all of us." They must have decided on this after their previous albums were leaked before release with no culprits being apprehended. International fans who want to purchase the album may do so at their website since its in english as well.
