Cha Seung Won has signed an exclusive contract with KeyEast. YG Entertainment, where he was previously signed, announced earlier this year that it would end its actor management business to focus on music.
KeyEast stated, "We are pleased to be working with actor Cha Seung Won, who has earned the public’s trust over the past 30 years," adding, "We are honored to welcome Cha Seung Won, one of Korea’s most representative actors. We will provide the best environment for his distinguished career to shine even brighter and fully support his diverse entertainment activities and challenges."
Cha Seung Won was highly active across various fields last year, starring in the Disney+ original series 'Tyrant' and the Netflix film 'Uprising'. His momentum is set to continue into 2025.
Upcoming releases include the Netflix series Gwangjang, based on the Naver webtoon of the same name, and director Park Chan Wook's highly anticipated new film 'I Can't Help It'. Additionally, preparations are underway for the new Netflix series 'Slowly Intense' (tentative title), in which Cha Seung Won plays Gil Yeo, marking a major character transformation. Having reunited with writer Noh Hee Kyung after Our Blues, expectations are high for another deeply moving performance.
Now under KeyEast, Cha Seung Won is expected to continue proving that "Cha Seung Won's prime is whenever he is active."
KeyEast (054780), home to actors Chae Jeong An, Park Myung Hoon, Bae Jeong Nam, Han Sun Hwa, and Kang Han Na, has produced Coupang Play’s 'Family Planning', Disney+’s 'Trigger', and tvN’s 'Ask the Stars'. Last year, the company expanded into entertainment production, diversifying its IP portfolio with projects such as ENA’s 'My Child's Private Life'.
