ILLIT has prepared a special surprise for fans: a Korean version of their Japanese original song "Almond Chocolate."
On March 10, Belift Lab announced, "ILLIT’s Japanese single 'Almond Chocolate' will be released in a Korean version today at 6 PM KST on various music platforms." Along with the announcement, ILLIT also unveiled the performance video for the track in Korean.
"Almond Chocolate" is ILLIT’s latest song, featuring a cheerful sound and the group’s fresh vocals. It was also used as the theme song for the film 'It Takes More Than a Pretty Face to Fall in Love.'
The song dominated local charts upon release, ranking high on Oricon’s Daily Digital Single Ranking and even topping Spotify Japan’s Daily Viral Chart.
The agency stated, "With its bright and upbeat sound paired with delicate lyrics, this song is expected to become a new seasonal hit perfect for White Day." The label added, "The Korean version will also showcase ILLIT’s signature charm, and we hope it will be a special gift for GLLITs (fandom name) both in Korea and abroad."
