JYP is a teaching gorilla too?

Posted by AllroyHavok0 pt Thursday, February 19, 2009

Yes it’s true, Music mogul JYP has teamed up with i-net school in an effort to teach young Koreans how to speak English through a series of online videos hosted by the dancing gorilla himself. In the videos, titled “JYP Music English,” JYP uses lyrics from American pop songs as a template to explain the individual intricacies of English words and phrases. JYP used the lyrics from Ne-Yo’s song “So Sick” in his first video. He also tells anecdotes about the first time he met Ne-Yo and his assorted trials and tribulations he went through when he started his company “JYP USA” in New York City. JYP feels that it is important for young Korean students to learn English if they want to open up new doors to a future they wouldn’t otherwise have if they knew only one language. He thinks it will be a more enjoyable experience for students if they are taught English using something they’re truly interested in like American pop songs. JYP is all over the place. He’s a singer, dancer, producer, CEO, superstar at the zoo, room salon specialist, and now a teacher. What’s next? If he could just cobble together a group that could excel at both singing and dancing, instead of being slightly above average at both or really good at one or the other, then maybe he would feel complete enough to slow down a little. Seriously though, someone needs to give this damn dirty ape a banana chill pill before he works himself to death.
