NewJeans sent a message to HYBE about former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.
Following NewJeans fanbase, Bunnies, sending an open letter to HYBE and ADOR regarding Min Hee Jin's dismissal as CEO, the girl group members themselves have also come out with a now-deleted video message for the agencies. On September 11 around 7PM KST, NewJeans held a sudden live stream titled "What NewJeans Want to Say" on their newly created nwjns YouTube channel.
Towards the end of the live stream, member Danielle expressed, "We're asking for the original ADOR to be returned. We're not asking for anything better. We think it's better if everyone does their job well in their respective positions. We hope you'll definitely consider our request."
She continued, "From a human perspective, we wish you would stop tormenting our CEO Min Hee Jin. Honestly, our CEO is in a pitiable state, and HYBE seems like an inhumane company. What can we learn from such a company?"
Minji then stated, "What we want is the original ADOR with CEO Min Hee Jin, where management and producing were integrated. The reason we're making this request is to find a way to get along without fighting with HYBE." She added, "If our opinions have been well communicated, we hope Chairman Bang Si Hyuk and HYBE will make a wise decision to restore the original ADOR by the 25th. Thank you for listening to us."
HYBE filed a complaint against Min Hee Jin this past April for breach of duty, and on August 27, they appointed Kim Joo Young, former Chief Human Resources Officer of HYBE, as the new CEO of ADOR. As a result, Min Hee Jin was stripped of her management rights after serving as ADOR's CEO for about 2 years and 9 months since her appointment in November of 2021. Min Hee Jin has claimed it was a unilateral dismissal, while HYBE defended the change as a lawful procedure.
