Actor Im Siwan has extended a warm hand of generosity once again.
On September 11th, Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association announced, "Im Siwan has donated 30 million won(approximately 23,077 US dollars) for our 'Sustained Care Project' to help disaster-affected households recover."
The Sustained Care Project supports individuals struggling with ongoing challenges, such as economic hardships, even after disasters like floods. Hope Bridge selects regions based on the severity of the disaster, and the support recipients are determined through local government recommendations and on-site inspections.
Chosen families receive support four times a year, including food, medical supplies, and household necessities.
Im Siwan shared, "I heard that those affected by disasters continue to face difficult living conditions. I decided to donate in hopes of offering some strength, even if it’s small. I will continue to make efforts to help our neighbors recover their daily lives after disasters."
Im Siwan has consistently practiced philanthropy. Starting with a donation to help victims of the 2019 Gangwon wildfire, he has contributed to various causes every year, including typhoons, wildfires, and the Türkiye earthquake. His cumulative donations have reached 120 million won.
Shin Hoon, Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, expressed his gratitude: "We are deeply thankful and respectful to Im Siwan for consistently participating in acts of sharing, powered by his positive influence. We will do our best to ensure his intentions are fully conveyed to the affected communities."
