On October 24th KST, Korean hip-hop artist Bryan Chase released the official music video for an exhilarating remix of "Restart It (feat. Okasian) (Extended Ver.)."
The hard-edged track, which first appeared on his acclaimed debut mini-album '2U' (THEBLACKLABEL / Interscope Records), serves as both artists' first link up in years, according to a press release.
They instantly put the rap world on notice which quickly led to The Last Orcas released through 88rising which was highlighted by Bryan and Okasian linking up for the singles and videos for “Walkin (Remix)” and “Underwater Bank”.
As with the original “Restart It” video, viewers are treated to a tense, cinematic display in which Chase finds himself evading gunfire and explosive landmines in the desert. Meanwhile, Okasian, in the middle of a heist is called upon to gather the squad and is expertly added. "We go dumb restart it, no they so not ready for it, finesse you out your trust fund, blame your daddy for it," he spits while riding shotgun in a crowded van on a mission to save Bryan.
“Restart It” originally dropped this summer to great fanfare and was preceded by the sultry track “Raindrop,” which featured a stunning music video of its own featuring futuristic panache. It followed on the heels of “2U” featuring A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, which arrived with a mind-blowing animated video.
The single was the title track of Chase's debut mini-album, which arrived on June 28th and explores the artist’s ongoing artistic and personal growth. On it, he experiments with ambitious new sounds and ideas, pushing himself out of his comfort zone.
