Korea Travel Guide: A Week Itinerary in Busan

AKP STAFF

Busan, the second-largest city in South Korea, has rapidly risen in the ranks to become one of the must-visit destinations in the country. While the city is famously the hometown of stellar personalities such as BTS's Jungkook and Jimin, Ahn Bo Hyun, and Gong Yoo, its allure goes beyond its star-studded connection. Busan promises a rich tapestry of experiences, from vibrant cultural hubs to scenic beauty, offering something for everyone.

While Haeundae Beach is often the first place that springs to mind when Busan is mentioned, we are steering you toward another vibrant locale: the picturesque Gamcheon Culture Village. This spot might already be gracing your social media feeds with its array of distinctly colored houses arranged intricately across a hillside, offering a visually stunning panorama that is a feast for the eyes. A stroll through this artistic village not only presents delightful photo opportunities but also allows you to stumble upon the famed statue of "The Little Prince," a whimsical touch that adds to the area's charm. But the exploration doesn't stop there; the village is dotted with quaint shops offering a myriad of trinkets and souvenirs, inviting you to pick a tangible memory from your visit.

After setting your sights on Gamcheon Village, your feet are bound to be quite tired, so make sure on the second day of your trip that you make your way to SPA LAND Centum City. Providing two kinds of natural hot spring water and 13 thermal treatment rooms, saunas and outdoor foot baths you'll feel like you're in paradise.

Now that you're revitalized, it's back to exploring the city and going to Haedong Yonggungsa Temple. Once you arrive, you won't be able to keep your mouths closed. The breathtaking view from this temple is like no other. Residing right on the coastline, you get to witness the beautiful architecture of the temple and the vast sea expanse. You won't be able to resist taking photos here all day.

If you're looking for the Busan experience, then you'll want to add the Jagalchi market. Busan is known for being the best place for seafood, considering it's a port city, so what better way to experience Busan than to head over to their local seafood market?

Busan is a bustling place of food and culture, so if you want to take a glimpse at the history behind Busan, make sure you head over to Yongdusan Park. One of the three famous mountains in Busan, this mountain was originally called Songhyeonsan but was renamed after the mountain peak represented the shape of a dragon's head.

Now that the week is coming to an end you want to make sure to make your last few days in Busan worth it. Busan is an excellent place for sightseeing because there's so much, including the Busan Green Railway, which runs across a distance of 4.8 kilometers (3 miles). You get a magnificent view of Haeundae Beach especially when you ride the special railway line! But this only one of the first few trails to explore. Make your way to Dongbaekseom Island Trails. An easy walking trip, this trail will lead you to a high mermaid statue, suspension bridge, and lighthouse observatory, too.

Finally, finish your trip by cruising on the Songdo Sea cable car from Songlim Park to Amnam Park. You'll effortlessly glide along, and this is a perfect end to exploring the city of Busan!

One of the best places on Earth 💙 The people are as nice and warm as the weather. Yonggungsa Temple is speechlessly beautiful. There is a Lotte World and mall nearby it too. Jagalchi, 깡통, 서면 and 부전 Market are worth visiting. 언젠간 다시 놀러가야겠어요~

Upon arriving at Thessaloniki International Airport, the first thing that impressed me was the organization of the transfer service from https://thessaloniki-transfers.com. They were precise and professional, but more importantly, it was absolutely comfortable and convenient. This way, I didn't have to worry about transportation and I could enjoy the beauty of Thessaloniki without any worries. I recommend them for my travels in this city!
