On February 26, GOT7 member/solo artist Park Jinyoung held his first-ever solo show in Manila, Philippines, as part of his 'Rendezvous' fan concert tour.
Prior to the fan concert, Jinyoung sat down with the press to discuss his musical career, a solo concert, and his solo full-length album 'Chapter 0: WITH,' among other topics.
Jinyoung opened the three-hour-long show with the tracks "Coming Home," "Cotton Candy," "Shining on your Night," and "Animal," showcasing his live vocal prowess and impressive dance skills.
The venue was lit up green by GOT7's lightsticks as they cheered for Jinyoung on stage. Coupled with the deafening cheers and Jinyoung's impressive stage presence and visuals, the night was enjoyable for both the performer and the audience.
During the show, Jinyoung answered a few questions about his album. "This is the first time I sang every part of the whole song," adding that it was boring because he was not with the rest of the GOT7 members and that was the hardest part in preparing for the album.
Jinyoung discussed his acting career during the "Actor Park Jinyoung" segment. He shared that when he was 22 years old, 8 years ago, he filmed the drama called 'My Love Eun Dong.' He said it was the first time he had fully displayed his personality, saying, "I related to the character a lot, which is why it helped me become who I am today."
The actor responded, "I think for all my projects [so far], I'm satisfied with the whole production," when asked if he was satisfied with the scene. He added that there were times when he was monitoring himself and that he should do better, but then he was still new so it was difficult as he was still not a good actor at that time. "I just stayed true to myself."
Jinyoung responded with teleportation when asked which superhuman ability he would choose.
"It's a very dark and heavy story with the characters having extreme personalities - full of sadness and anger - so I really thought about playing the roles so hard" on his experience in playing the character of the drama 'Christmas Carol,' in which he played a twin character.
"In the beginning, I studied the characters so hard, I even doubted myself. I learned a lot and I think it will help me in the future," said Jinyoung.
"His name is Jay B, he is my favorite," Jinyoung when he was asked which actor model he would want to resemble.
"I really learned a lot because I worked with a lot of senior actors," Jinyoung on 'Yumi's Cells 2.'
Several lucky fans were able to get up on stage and interact with Jinyoung, some even took a polaroid photo with him.
Jinyoung also performed GOT7's hit songs on stage, including "Just Right," "Hard Carry," "NANANA," "You Calling My Name," and "Encore." The singer-actor concluded the extensive show with "Our Miracle," "Letter," "Sleep Well," and "DIVE."
Park Jinyoung's 'Rendezvous' fan concert in Manila was presented by PULP Live World.
