Korean figure skaters Min Yura and Alexander Gamelin touched hearts with their ice dance.
The two American-born skaters had changed their nationalities to Korea so they could compete under the Korean flag at the 2018 Winter Olympics. The duo danced to "Arirang" during their free skate at the ice dance, one of Korea's best-known folk songs - if not the best-known folk song. To add to the mood, the duo dressed up in Korean hanbok inspired outfits.
While the duo didn't manage to reach their seasonal best score, the performance (which took place about an hour ago) quickly became a hot topic on SNS because fans believed it was a performance that captured the true meaning of Olympics - countries coming together and combining both the past and the present.
