Actor Ji Soo has returned to South Korea after a period of self-imposed hiatus abroad due to a past school bullying controversy.
On April 22, Ji Soo posted a short-form video on his personal social media, signaling his return.
In the video, Ji Soo is seen walking along the Han River, casually dressed in a denim-on-denim outfit. With his signature monolid smile, he addresses the camera, saying, "We came to the Han River. Isn’t it beautiful? Just like you," delivering a playful and flirtatious line.
His update comes after he previously appeared to be active in the Philippines, where he performed in front of enthusiastic local fans and received a warm reception. This recent sighting in Korea has drawn increased attention as fans speculate on his potential return to domestic activities.
Ji Soo had stepped away from the spotlight in 2021 following allegations of school violence. He issued a handwritten apology at the time, admitting to some of the allegations. The controversy led to his early departure from the KBS2 drama 'River Where the Moon Rises' and the termination of his contract with his management agency. He later enlisted as a social service worker for his mandatory military duty, completing his alternative service and being discharged in October 2023.
Since then, Ji Soo has hinted at a comeback through his personal channel, expressing intentions to pursue global activities.
