IVE’s Leeseo, known as a rising “MZ generation wannabe icon,” is celebrating her 1-year anniversary as an MC on SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’.
According to her agency Starship Entertainment, Leeseo first joined the show on April 28th KST, 2023, and will mark her 1st full year as a host this coming April 28th.
In a statement through her agency, Leeseo shared, “I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I started with ‘Inkigayo’. I want to thank the production team for giving me this precious opportunity, as well as my fellow MCs who’ve been with me every week. I’ve learned and grown so much thanks to everyone.”
She added, “I’m also grateful to DIVE [IVE’s official fan club] for their unwavering support. Their cheers gave me the strength to keep going each week. I’ll continue to repay your love with bright energy and positivity, so please keep supporting me.”
Leeseo debuted as part of the youngest-ever ‘Inkigayo’ MC trio alongside ZEROBASEONE’s Han Yujin and actor Moon Seong Hyun, making headlines at the time for their fresh energy. In February, she stood alone on stage to perform IVE’s “REBEL HEART” encore, representing the group and showcasing her growth and poise as both an artist and a presenter. Her steady performance as an MC has since earned her praise as an irreplaceable part of the music show’s hosting team.
