Singer Lim Young Woong gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at his concert preparations, revealing his struggles with memorization in a lighthearted manner.
On March 9, Lim Young Woong’s official channel uploaded a video titled "Lim Young Woong Recital (RE:CITAL) Behind Ep2: The (real) prologue to the long journey."
The video first showed footage from his concert poster shoot. Before the shoot began, Lim Young Woong spent time playing with his dog Siwol, and once the shoot started, he showcased his sharp suit look while enduring the heat.
For his second outfit, he took on a retro concept with a cassette tape, and after completing the shoot, he changed into his third outfit in the waiting room. While waiting, he chatted with staff members about the name of a chicken rib restaurant.
When a staff member jokingly asked, “What do you think about youthful dementia?”, Lim Young Woong playfully responded, “I think I have youthful dementia these days. I can’t even remember the name of the restaurant right now, so I guess I need to play more Go-Stop (traditional Korean card game).”

The video also revealed the first ensemble practice session. Lim Young Woong carefully checked everything, from his microphone setup to the tempo of the songs, refining the details to enhance his performance. He commented, “Some of the band members have changed a little, but they’re doing well because they’re talented. Since the older hyungs are leading, they play in a way that suits my style. Of course, the previous members were great as well.”
During a break, a staff member asked, “Did you eat by any chance?” While eating a snack, Lim Young Woong explained, “I had a meal. My blood sugar is dropping.”
As he moved on to choreography practice, Lim Young Woong struggled with remembering the moves. During a break, the staff asked, “How much of it do you have down?” He firmly answered, “1%.” The staff then noted, “Isn’t today supposed to be a mid-term check-up due to the schedule?” Lim Young Woong humorously replied, “No. If I practice, I forget everything. If I practice, I forget everything,” making everyone laugh.
