As of March 25, the Garosero Research Institute (HoverLab) reported that it obtained information from close acquaintances of the late actress Kim Sae Ron regarding her ex-boyfriend 'A,' who had a brief one-week relationship with her. 

'A' allegedly told his acquaintances that the reason for Kim Sae Ron’s tragic passing was due to her husband in New York. According to 'A,' he remained in contact with Kim Sae Ron after her marriage and even shared KakaoTalk messages where her New York husband spoke negatively about him.

The Fact mistakenly revealed the real name of late Kim Sae Ron’s friend 'A' as Lee Chan Hee. Meanwhile, Garosero Research Institute criticized 'A' for recording a conversation with her former manager Kwak Tae Young and writing a statement to confirm alleged facts, arguing that such actions disrespected Kim Sae Ron and her bereaved family. The institute further claimed that these actions proved 'A' was not truly a friend of the late actress.

Garosero Research Institute also shared an interview with a close friend of late Kim Sae Ron who refuted media claims that her family had neglected her. 

The friend stated, "It is completely false that her family did not care about her. Whenever I had time, I would visit her home last year. Her mother was always there when she was awake, and when she slept, her mother would leave to work as a designated driver." The friend also denied allegations that late Kim Sae Ron’s family misused her finances, calling them baseless rumors.

When Garosero Research Institute asked why ex-boyfriend 'A' was spreading marriage and abortion rumors and even drafted a recorded statement, Kim Sae Ron’s close friend speculated, "Perhaps 'A' was pressured by Kim Soo Hyun or her former manager Kwak Tae Young to write the statement." The friend mentioned that Kim Sae Ron first talked about her New York husband in December 2024 and that when she worked part-time at a cafe, customers openly criticized her, making her want to leave Korea. The friend dismissed the abortion rumor, stating, "Marriage was possible, but abortion was out of the question."

Additionally, the friend recalled that after the late Kim Sae Ron received her first legal notice from Gold Medalist, she wrote a letter addressed to Kim Soo Hyun and attempted to deliver it to his residence around April last year. However, she was unable to do so due to the apartment's security system.

The friend also mentioned that YouTuber Lee Jin Ho had posted malicious videos about late Kim Sae Ron since November 2022. The late actress reportedly confided in ASTRO’s Moonbin, who passed away in April 2023, about her struggles due to Lee Jin Ho’s content. Data analysis using AI showed a significant increase in searches for "Kim Sae Ron drunk driving" due to Lee Jin Ho’s videos.

A friend criticized Lee Jin Ho for his past comments about Kim Sae Ron, where he alleged she had personality issues. They highlighted Sae Ron’s acts of kindness, such as volunteering and adopting an abandoned dog, as evidence of her good character. Urging Lee Jin Ho to reflect on his remarks, the friend called for a reconsideration of his stance.

Meanwhile, Garosero Research Institute reported that although actor Kim Soo Hyun has denied dating Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor, photos of them together in middle school exist as potential evidence.

Garosero Research Institute reported that they personally verified messages and documents from Kim Sae Ron’s husband and his family, confirming that their marriage took place on January 12, 2025. The official U.S. marriage certificate also listed this date. 

Garosero Research Institute refuted the rumors of pregnancy and abortion, pointing out that in an audio recording released by YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, Kim Sae Ron’s husband stated that he would return to Korea around January 14, making the pregnancy claims illogical.

Late Kim Sae Ron’s husband issued an official statement addressing the circulating rumors:

"Hello, I am the husband of the late Kim Sae Ron. Even as I struggle with deep grief, I felt it was necessary to come forward to correct the severe defamation and falsehoods being spread. I met Kim Sae Ron through an acquaintance in mid-November 2024. In a short time, we developed strong feelings for each other and decided to marry on January 12, 2025, in the U.S. with only witnesses present. However, due to our rushed decision, long-distance relationship, and personality differences, we mutually agreed to annul the marriage.

1. Abuse Allegations: I live in a quiet multi-unit apartment with thin walls, meaning any domestic violence incident would have led to immediate police intervention. In the U.S., domestic violence is a serious legal matter. Between November 2024 and February 2025, Kim Sae Ron visited the U.S. three times (except for our first meeting in November). If any abuse had occurred, why would she have voluntarily returned each time? I ensured she was emotionally and financially supported during her stays. If there is photographic evidence of abuse, I encourage its disclosure. I am also willing to cooperate with a police investigation.

2. Monitoring Allegations: Due to our long-distance relationship, we mutually agreed to share our phone and social media passwords to build trust. Kim Sae Ron even used my phone for communication. We had transparency in our relationship, and any monitoring allegations are misleading. I can provide documentation proving our mutual agreement.

3. Pregnancy and Coercion Allegations: The pregnancy rumors are entirely false. We first met in mid-November 2024 and became serious by late November. The timeline does not match the alleged pregnancy claims from January 2025. Moreover, Kim Sae Ron was taking contraceptives, and we had never planned for children. Any claims that I coerced her into marriage through threats or pregnancy are defamatory. I can provide evidence that we mutually agreed to marry.

After our private marriage, we had started the annulment process when false narratives were spread by YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, former manager Kwak Tae Young, and ex-boyfriend 'A.' I plan to take legal action regarding the unauthorized distribution of misleading recordings and defamation.

On March 18, a person falsely claiming to be Kim Sae Ron’s cousin contacted me with threats, asking whether I had abused her. When I took legal action, they immediately stopped. If necessary, I welcome a fair police investigation. I urge everyone to stop spreading false information about Kim Sae Ron’s private life."

The controversy surrounding Kim Sae Ron’s personal life continues to unfold, with multiple parties releasing statements and counterclaims. The legal proceedings and further evidence may shed more light on the matter.
