On March 1st, actor Jung Hae In commemorated Korea’s Independence Movement Day by sharing a photo of the Korean national flag, the South Korean national flag, on his social media story.

Jung Hae In is a direct descendant of Jeong Hak Yu, the second son of renowned scholar and reformist Jeong Yak Yong, also known as Dasan. His strong historical ties reflect his deep sense of patriotism.
In October last year, Jung appeared on tvN’s variety show 'You Quiz on the Block' and revealed, “I am a descendant of Jeong Yak Yong’s second son. Since I lived with my paternal grandparents as a child, I heard many stories about my ancestry.”
He further shared, “As I studied history, I started looking into it more deeply. Only after becoming an adult did I truly understand my ancestor, Jeong Yak Yong.”
Meanwhile, Jung Hae In is currently appearing on MBC’s variety show 'Good Day,' where he is actively participating as a member of the ‘88s’ group alongside fellow 1988-born celebrities, including singer G-Dragon, entertainer Hwang Kwanghee, and actors Lee Soo Hyuk, Kim Soo Hyun, and Im Si Wan (Siwan).
