Amidst the worsening international public sentiment towards actor Kim Soo Hyun, many overseas online users have taken to the social media of 'Good Day' participants, demanding that they cut off Kim Soo Hyun.
As of March 18, the 'Good Day' poster posted by G-Dragon has accumulated about 13,000 comments.
Most of the comments are from overseas fans urging for Kim Soo Hyun's departure from 'Good Day,' with messages such as, "You should never have anything to do with Kim Soo Hyun" and "Please remove Kim Soo Hyun from 'Good Day'."
Previously, on March 17, the 'Good Day' production team apologized through their official account, stating, "We sincerely apologize for causing concern to those who watch Good Day." They also announced, "We have decided to edit out Kim Soo Hyun's appearances as much as possible."
While the production team has distanced themselves from Kim Soo Hyun, the fallout has now spread to participants who are still following him on social media.
'Good Day' is a music project where G-Dragon collaborates with various figures to create the song of the year. The show gathered attention with Kim Soo Hyun, Jung Hae In, Lee Soo Hyuk, Im Si Wan, and Kwang Hee forming the group '88 Nation' alongside G-Dragon.
Among these, the participants still following Kim Soo Hyun are Jung Hae In and Im Si Wan. G-Dragon, Lee Soo Hyuk, and Hwang Kwang Hee have limited their followings to 0 or 1.
In response, overseas fans have commented on Jung Hae In and Im Si Wan's social media, saying things like, "We oppose Kim Soo Hyun. Can you unfollow him?" "It's time to unfollow Kim Soo Hyun," and "It's disappointing that you’re still following Kim Soo Hyun."
'Good Day' participant Jo Se Ho was also recently rumored to have unfollowed Kim Soo Hyun on March 12. However, this turned out to be untrue. It was confirmed that Jo Se Ho had never followed Kim Soo Hyun’s account in the first place.
Meanwhile, the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae Ron recently claimed that Kim Sae Ron was in a relationship with Kim Soo Hyun for six years, from the time she was 15 (2015) until she turned 21 (2021).
Initially vehemently denying these claims as "false," Kim Soo Hyun’s side changed their stance on March 14, stating, "Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were in a relationship from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020, after Kim Sae Ron became an adult. It is not true that Kim Soo Hyun dated Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor."
