MBC's variety show 'Good Day,' featuring actor Kim Soo Hyun, will be preempted on the 23rd.

On the 20th, the production team of 'Good Day' announced, "Episode 6, which was scheduled to air on the 23rd, will be skipped for program restructuring."

'Good Day,' which premiered last month, is a music project led by singer G-Dragon, where he collaborates with various figures from different fields to create the 'Song of the Year.' The program has gained significant attention as it marks the return of producer Kim Tae Ho to MBC after three years, following the establishment of his independent production company, TEO.

Kim Soo Hyun appeared on the show from the beginning as a member of the '88s,' a group of friends born in 1988, including G-Dragon. However, recent allegations that Kim Soo Hyun had been in a long-term relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron have sparked controversy. Following these reports, the show's viewer message board was flooded with calls for Kim Soo Hyun to step down.

Despite the controversy, Kim Soo Hyun continued to participate in the show's filming. He also appeared in a group shot with the cast during the 5th episode, which aired on the 16th.

As the backlash grew, the production team released a statement on the 17th, saying, "We are aware of the seriousness of the controversy surrounding the cast and are proceeding with production while prioritizing viewer feedback. We have decided to edit out Kim Soo Hyun's appearances as much as possible."

Meanwhile, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, admitted that the two had dated but denied that the relationship began when Kim Sae Ron was a minor. The agency also refuted claims that Kim Soo Hyun had pressured Kim Sae Ron to repay any debts, stating, "Kim Soo Hyun never lent money to Kim Sae Ron, nor did he demand repayment."
