On March 16, actress Cha Joo Young, known for her roles in 'The Queen Who Crowns' and 'The Glory', revealed that she has been unable to return to her previous physique after gaining weight for 'The Glory'.
During an episode of TV Chosun’s 'Huh Young Man's Food Travel', Cha Joo Young appeared as a guest and shared a meal of red bean porridge with small rice cakes alongside host Huh Young Man.

Cha Joo Young said, "I really like carbohydrates. I love rice cakes." When Huh Young Man mentioned the term "tteok suni" (a person who loves rice cakes), he asked, "If you like carbohydrates, doesn’t that mean you should gain some weight?"
Cha Joo Young responded, "That’s why I gained a lot of weight for 'The Glory'. I gained weight, and since then, I haven’t been able to fully return to my previous shape. Even now," which caught attention.
Huh Young Man quickly asked, "It’s been four years since filming ended. How many kilograms did you gain?" Cha Joo Young replied, "I gained about 5 to 6 kg. It was quite rapid. It wasn’t gradual, I put on weight quickly and maintained it throughout the filming period."
Cha Joo Young previously revealed that she gained weight to portray the glamorous character Hye Jung in 'The Glory', which became a hot topic.
Huh Young Man then asked, "Are you satisfied now? But to be satisfied, a lot of income should follow, right?" Cha Joo Young laughed and responded, "I think I need to work a bit harder."
