Tzuyang has given her first media interview after Gu Je Yeok and a lawyer, who blackmailed and extorted money from her, were sentenced to prison. Despite their convictions, she continues to suffer from false rumors and conspiracy theories.
In an interview with JTBC on the 21st, Tzuyang refuted the misinformation surrounding her, emphasizing that she had never harmed anyone or done anything wrong. She revealed that before the blackmail incident, she had already endured years of abuse and financial exploitation by her ex-boyfriend, a part of her life she had wanted to keep private.
However, Cyber wreckers, including Gu Je Yeok, discovered this and began threatening her for money. The Garo Sero Institute channel further escalated the situation by exposing her private life and spreading sensationalized false claims.
"I never wanted to disclose my private life, but they created so many rumors that I had no choice but to address them," she explained.
Following an investigation, Gu Je Yeok was sentenced to three years in prison, with other offenders also found guilty. However, Tzuyang continues to face baseless conspiracy theories, including accusations that she is linked to Chinese espionage or has political connections.
"I've never even been to China, and I have absolutely nothing to do with politics. I don't even understand what they're trying to say," she said, expressing frustration over the ongoing speculation.
Determined to clear her name, Tzuyang has filed a defamation lawsuit against Garo Sero Institute and others responsible for spreading false information.
"It really feels like they just want to destroy me, no matter what," she added, noting that seven months after the threats and privacy breaches began, her battle is still ongoing.
