As singer Koo Jun yup (DJ Koo) (56) arrived in Taiwan with the ashes of his late wife, Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu (48), he delivered a scathing criticism aimed at her ex-husband, businessman Wang Xiaofei (42).
On February 2, Koo Jun Yup shared his grief, stating, "My angel returned to the sky. I am going through an indescribable sorrow and pain, feeling as if my insides are being torn apart. I have no strength to speak, nor do I want to."

He then directly criticized Wang Xiaofei’s behavior, saying, "Before we could even properly grieve this immense loss, malicious individuals began attacking my family and our love. Some pretend to be sad, walking in the rain, while others create fake news about insurance and expenses to tarnish our family’s reputation."

Previously, Wang Xiaofei was spotted walking in the rain without an umbrella on the night of February 3 after returning to China upon hearing about Hsu’s passing. Additionally, rumors spread that Wang Xiaofei’s mother covered the funeral costs in Japan and the private jet expenses for the transport of Barbie Hsu’s remains to Taiwan, which were later debunked as false.
Barbie Hsu tragically passed away on February 2 due to acute pneumonia caused by influenza while vacationing in Japan with her family for the Lunar New Year. Her cremation was held in Japan, and reports estimate her estate to be worth approximately 120 billion KRW (approximately $82.65 million).
Addressing speculation surrounding the late actress’s inheritance, Koo Jun Yup clarified, "Barbie Hsu worked tirelessly to protect and provide for her beloved family. I have no claim to her assets, and I will entrust everything to my mother-in-law." He further stated, "To ensure that no ill-intentioned individuals interfere with the children's inheritance, I will take legal measures through an attorney to safeguard their rights until they reach adulthood."
On February 5, Koo Jun Yup, Barbie Hsu’s mother, and close relatives arrived at Taipei Songshan Airport on a private jet from Haneda Airport, Japan. Dressed in a hat and mask, Koo Jun Yup concealed his face as much as possible, yet his sorrowful expression was evident. As he held the Barbie Hsu’s pink cremation urn, he requested a companion shield it with an umbrella, saying, "Please cover it so my wife doesn’t get startled. "
According to local media, a farewell ceremony was initially expected in Taiwan. However, Koo Jun Yup and Barbie Hsu’s family decided against holding a public event, wishing for her final moments to remain peaceful and private.
