Kim previously showcased his candid charm during the show’s 2023 pilot, traveling to Italy under the guidance of Alberto Mondi alongside actor Ko Kyu Pil, singer Doojoon, and musician Jo Hyun Ah. Now, after a year and a half, he is returning as a travel companion in 'The Great Guide 2,' officially stepping into the world of variety entertainment.
'The Great Guide' is a reality travel show where long-term foreign residents in Korea take travelers to hidden local gems in their home countries. The show first aired in 2023 as an eight-episode pilot, featuring trips to Italy and Egypt. Unlike conventional travel programs, it was praised for its immersive storytelling and unique perspectives. Following its success, the show was picked up for a full season and made headlines last year with trips to the UK, Mexico, and India.
Season 2 promises to deliver even more exclusive local experiences, insightful travel tips, and engaging entertainment that viewers wouldn’t typically find in mainstream travel content.
Kim Dae Ho joined MBC in 2011 as part of the network’s 30th class of announcers through the program Our Sunday Night – New Employees. After dedicating 14 years to MBC, he resigned on the 4th to officially begin his freelance career. Given his growing popularity in variety shows, fans are eager to see what he brings to 'The Great Guide 2,' marking an exciting new chapter in his career.
