On the 16th, during MBC FM4U’s 'Kim Shin Young’s Hope Song at Noon' ('Noon Hope Song'), Kim Shin Young commented after listening to PLAVE’s new song Dash, saying, "I haven’t adapted to the Playb worldview. It’s hard for me to accept a new culture."

Following her remarks, fans of PLAVE expressed their displeasure, demanding an apology via the 'Noon Hope Song' online bulletin board and official social media. They argued, "The fans and the group were hurt by her careless remarks," and "She should have spoken based on accurate information about the group."

As the controversy grew, Kim Shin Young addressed the issue on the next day’s radio broadcast, opening with, "I think it’s fair to say my words were not just ignorant, but rude. I deeply feel the weight and responsibility of my words," and "I sincerely apologize to the artists and fans who were hurt."

Despite her apology, some fans continued to demand that she step down as the radio DJ. Additionally, critical comments about Kim Shin Young continue to be posted on official social media pages.

This situation has drawn comparisons to the case of Kim Sae Ron, who reportedly struggled with malicious comments before her passing. Many are calling for an end to blind, emotional criticism of celebrities. In response to the escalating situation, the production team of 'Hope Song at Noon' issued a statement on its online bulletin board, warning, "Any slander, profanity, spam, or content causing discomfort to others that disrupts the broadcast will be immediately deleted, and the user ID will be blocked."

Netizens remain divided on the issue. Some have defended Kim Shin Young, saying, "It may have been upsetting, but wasn’t an apology enough?" and "Calling for her removal seems excessive."
