BABYMONSTER has launched their first world tour with impressive success. Just 10 months after their debut, they entered KSPO Dome, known as the holy ground of K-pop, and drew an audience of over 20,000 spectators—a feat that even established artists often struggle to achieve.

This achievement further solidifies YG Entertainment’s market potential, as BABYMONSTER’s album sales continue to rise and their concert attendance figures remain strong. Following in the footsteps of BLACKPINK, BABYMONSTER is proving to be the next-generation powerhouse in the industry.

According to data compiled from the Korea Performing Arts Integrated Computer Network (KOPIS) API on the 3rd, the total number of tickets sold for BABYMONSTER’s concerts at KSPO Dome on January 25th and 26th reached 23,499. This included 11,113 tickets sold on the 25th and 12,366 on the 26th.

Based on these figures, the seat occupancy rate was calculated at 67.8%, considering that KSPO Dome has a total seating capacity of 15,000 and the concert was held twice.

A YG Entertainment official commented, "Since this was BABYMONSTER’s first solo concert, we put a lot of effort into the stage production, so the actual number of available seats differs. However, we cannot disclose the exact seating capacity and adjusted occupancy rate." This suggests that YG’s internal occupancy rate calculation could be higher.

Considering BABYMONSTER is still a new artist, successfully mobilizing over 10,000 fans per show at KSPO Dome is an extraordinary achievement. BABYMONSTER is a seven-member multinational girl group under YG Entertainment that debuted on April 1st, 2023.

Performing at KSPO Dome is often seen as a benchmark for an artist’s intellectual property (IP) value, as the venue boasts state-of-the-art sound equipment and can accommodate over 10,000 attendees per show when factoring in stage setup. For a new group to headline at this venue so soon after debuting is considered extremely rare.

Following the Seoul concerts, Baby Monster will continue their world tour, performing in 14 cities with a total of 23 concerts. Their next stops include: Newark, USA on February 28th, Los Angeles, USA on March 2nd, Kanagawa, Aichi, Osaka, and Fukuoka in Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong in Asia.

As BABYMONSTER rembarks on their highly anticipated world tour, all eyes are on whether they will emerge as YG Entertainment’s next global phenomenon.
