Famous veteran singer Kim Heung Gook was recently revealed to have received a fine for driving without a license.
The Seoul Central District Court issued a summary order of a 1 million KRW (approximately 700 USD) fine to singer Kim Heung Gook, who was summarily indicted for driving without a license in August 2024.
Kim Heung Gook was caught by police while illegally changing lanes while driving in Gangnam, Seoul, on April 29, 2024. He was found to be driving without a license at the time and was referred to the prosecution on May 16 last year.
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office summarily indicted Kim for a fine of 1 million KRW on May 22, and the court finalized this decision in August last year.
Previously, in April 2021, Kim Heung Gook was involved in an accident in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, where he made an illegal left turn at a signal and collided with a motorcycle proceeding straight on a yellow light. He reportedly left the scene without taking any action and was later fined 7 million KRW (approximately 5,000 USD) in November of the same year.
Kim Heung Gook was born in Seoul on May 18, 1959. He debuted with the song "Pale Flower Petals" in 1985 and is known for his versatile career in the Korean entertainment industry. Kim Heung Gook is best known for his hit track "Horang Nabi," released in 1989.
