BTS member V (Kim Taehyung) sent a Lunar New Year’s greeting to fans ahead of his discharge.
On the 26th, V greeted fans through the fan community Weverse, saying, "Are you enjoying the holiday? I hope you have a great time during this long holiday!" He added, "I’ve been working out a lot in the military! It won’t be long now! I want to see you soon," hinting at his discharge and return to activities, raising fans’ expectations.
When a fan asked, "Have you reached your target weight?" V replied, "I’m taking a picture and going back!" In response to another fan who said, "I really missed you! I hope Taehyung has a happy New Year and a wonderful holiday. Let’s meet soon, I love you," he replied, "Yes! Me too."
V passed the Capital Defense Command’s Special Mission Team (SDT) entrance exam and enlisted as an active-duty soldier in December 2023. Following additional training at the Army General Administration School, he was assigned to a unit and is now serving as an exemplary member of the Special Forces Unit of the Military Police Corps under the command of the 2nd Army Corps in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province.
In a live broadcast before his enlistment, V promised fans he would “increase his weight to 86 kg” and has since become a hot topic for his progress in building his physique. With his discharge scheduled for June 10, just four months away, fans are eagerly following updates about him.
Meanwhile, all members of BTS are currently fulfilling their military service obligations. Jin has been active in various fields, including the web variety show “Run Seok Jin,” while J-Hope is preparing to embark on his first world tour, “Hope On The Stage,” starting on February 28.
