On January 9 KST, one exclusive media outlet revealed an alleged interview with president Park Jung Kyu of DAVOLINK, a communication equipment company.
According to the report, Park Jung Kyu met Min Hee Jin in August of last year to discuss potential investment in a new entertainment agency. However, afterward, Min Hee Jin publicly denied any contact with DAVOLINK when faced with accusations of colluding with outside investors in an attempt to gain independence from HYBE Labels. Based on president Park's claims, DAVOLINK suffered from a drop in stock prices as a result of Min Hee Jin's public denial.
In the interview, President Park alleged that he first received the investment opportunity offer from 'B', an uncle of NewJeans member 'A'. 'B' and Min Hee Jin asked Park to invest 5 billion KRW and eventually set up an in-person meeting to discuss the opportunity. During an approximately 3-hour meeting, Min Hee Jin supposedly consulted Park by asking, "Is it possible for me to leave HYBE and bring NewJeans with me? What should I do to make that happen?". In response, Park gave the advice, "If you leave ADOR yourself, then the company's value will drop, and that will provide an opening to bring NewJeans with you."
Furthermore, Park claimed, "She spent a lot of time complaining about Bang Si Hyuk. She called him a 'fat a**' in front of someone she had met for the first time. When I heard that, I thought, 'I would rather not work with this person'."
However, in November of last year, Min Hee Jin's side strongly denied the rumors that an uncle of NewJeans member 'A' was heavily involved in procuring investment from an outside company.
