Day 1 of the K-POP festival '2024 MBC Gayo Daejejun WANNABE,' heating up the Lunar New Year holidays, was broadcast on January 29.

The program will air in two parts, the first part aired at 5:25 PM on January 29 and the second part will air at 5:20 PM on January 30. Girls' Generation's YoonA, SHINee's Minho, and TWS's Dohoon hosted the event.

The '2024 MBC Gayo Daejejun WANNABE' was led by YoonA,, the 'idol's wannabe' who has been a part of the 'MBC Gayo Daejejun' for 10 years, SHINee's Minho, who returned as the MC for the second consecutive year as the 'backbone of K-POP,' and TWS's Dohoon, a 'next-generation wannabe' who debuted as the youngest MC for a public broadcast awards ceremony. This trio delivered a fresh synergy.

'This year’s '2024 MBC Gayo Daejejeon WANNABE was a star-studded event, featuring some of the biggest names in K-POP, including aespa, ATEEZ, BOYNEXTDOOR, DAY6, ENHYPEN, ITZY, IVE, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, NCT U, NewJeans, P1Harmony, RIIZE, Stray Kids, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, TWS, ZEROBASEONE, (G)I-DLE, Young Tak, Lee Chan Won, SHINee Taemin, CLASS:y , CRAVITY, Fantasy Boys, KISS OF LIFE, NMIXX, STAYC, Lee Young Ji, John Park, and fromis_9. The lineup brought together the best of the industry, delivering unforgettable performances.

YoonA, a longtime host of 'MBC Gayo Daejejeon' since 2015, bid farewell to the show in an emotional final appearance.

The event featured exciting collaborations, including 'Kemiz' (Lee Eun Ji, Oh My Girl’s Mimi, Lee Young Ji, and IVE’s Yujin), whose energetic performance thrilled fans. Another standout stage united ITZY’s Yuna, aespa’s Karina, and NMIXX’s Sullyoon, showcasing their star power. Lee Young Ji and NCT’s Mark also delivered a buzzworthy collaboration.
