Global girl group XG has earned their first-ever Billboard 200 entry, as their recent mini-album, 'AWE,' landed at No. 175 on the chart. This also marks the first time a Japanese hip-hop female idol group has charted on the global chart.
In addition to the group's Billboard 200 entry, XG also debuted at No. 1 on the Heartseekers Albums, Record Label Independent Current Albums, and Top New Artist Albums charts. They also landed on the Emerging Artist at No. 7, Current Pop Albums and Current Album Sales at No. 12, Internet Albums at No. 13, Album Sales and Top Albums with Track Equivalent Albums at No. 19, Independent Albums at No. 26, and Current Digital Albums at No. 60.
The album centers around the theme of “awe”—the mix of fear and curiosity when encountering something new. Through this album, XG aims to inspire a sense of wonder and offer listeners a special experience to accompany them in everyday life. 'AWE' includes eight tracks, featuring pre-released songs “SOMETHING AIN'T RIGHT,” “IYKYK,” and the remix track “WOKE UP REMIXX” with artists like Jay Park, OZworld, AKLO, Paloalto, VERBAL, and Awich.
Meanwhile, XG is set to perform at Coachella in 2025.
