The highly anticipated Disney+ drama 'Trigger', starring Kim Hye So, is set to premiere soon. From its production stage, Trigger has drawn attention for its star-studded cast, featuring Kim Hye Soo and Jung Sung Il. The series revolves around the dedicated producers of an investigative journalism program who tackle cases that even prosecutors and police fail to solve.

Kim Hye Soo plays Oh So Ryong, the principled and headstrong team leader of the investigative program 'Trigger.' She is joined by Jung Sung Il, who portrays Han Do, a parachuted rookie producer with poor social skills. The drama follows their intense survival story as they risk it all to uncover the truth.

Kim’s character, Oh So Ryong, is depicted as a fearless leader brimming with grit and eccentricity. Her bold persona shines through daring exploits such as paragliding during investigations, being chased out of police stations, and shouting commands with a fire extinguisher in hand at chaotic crime scenes. 

Meanwhile, Jung Sung Il’s character, Han Do, initially clashes with Oh So Ryong due to his stubborn and seemingly polite demeanor, setting the stage for unexpected chemistry between the two.

Kim Hye Soo promises to showcase a raw and rugged charm in this series. Despite its focus on social issues and criminal cases, 'Trigger' maintains a light and witty tone. At the 'Disney Content Showcase 2024' held in Singapore last month, Kim shared her thoughts on the drama, saying, "Trigger addresses societal issues and crime but keeps a playful tone and manner. It's a work that blends humor, wit, sincerity, and catharsis."

'Trigger', which highlights the indomitable spirit and teamwork of its characters, is set to premiere on Disney+ on January 15. Fans can look forward to a gripping yet refreshingly entertaining drama.
