HYBE Labels subsidiary ADOR has issued an official statement of response regarding the recent legal notice forwarded to the agency by NewJeans.
On November 14 KST, ADOR stated,
"Hello, this is ADOR.
First and foremost, the legal notice was formally received by the agency this morning, and we are currently reviewing the contents while considering the requests outlined. We will do our best to resolve the issues wisely and continue our relationship with the artists.
Second, in response to inquires about the involvement of an external investor company, we would like to once again remind you that Min Hee Jin has firmly denied all rumors of her meeting with external investors and of the involvement of the family members of NewJeans as false."
Based on ADOR's statement, the agency will have 14-days from the official receipt of the legal notice (or 14-days from November 14 KST) to respond to the requests made by the NewJeans members.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Min Hee Jin became wrapped up in rumors that an external investor company, DAVOLINK, had tapped her for a potential investment contract. Soon afterward, it was revealed that chairman 'A' of 'H' company, uncle to NewJeans member Hyein, had received candidacy for an internal director appointment at DAVOLINK along with 5 others. When the news made headlines, DAVOLINKS announced its decision to submit a new board for internal director appointments, with 'A' being omitted from the new candidacy lineup.
