Kim Yoo Jung donates 100 million won (approximately 75,000 USD) to support the elderly and children with disabilities.
On October 9th KST, actress Kim Yoo Jung made a generous donation to help those in need, including the elderly living alone and children with disabilities. According to her agency, Awesome ENT, Kim Yoo Jung donated a total of 100 million won (50 million won each) to the Elderly Support Center and Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation last month.
A representative from Awesome ENT shared, “Kim Yoo Jung made the donation with the hope that the elderly living alone and children with severe disabilities will be able to live healthier lives in better conditions.” The donation will go toward supporting food supplies for the elderly and providing rehabilitation, medical expenses, and caregiving costs for severely disabled children with no family support.
This is not Kim Yoo Jung’s first act of generosity this year. In February, she donated 100 million won to the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation, offering warm support to children suffering from cancer, leukemia, and rare diseases. In 2020, Kim became the youngest member to join the Green Noble Club, a high-donor group within the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation. Last year, she also donated 30 million won to support children who were victims of crime, continuing her steady path of charitable giving and spreading positive influence.
In addition to her philanthropy, Kim Yoo Jung is actively engaged in her acting career. She is set to star in the upcoming TVING original series ‘Dear X,’ which is scheduled to air in 2025, alongside actors Kim Young Dae and Kim Do Hoon.
