HYBE pledges efforts to stabilize ADOR following court ruling.
On October 30 KST, HYBE CEO Lee Jae Sang shared an internal email with employees, following a recent court decision, stating that HYBE is committed to stabilizing ADOR.
Lee’s email highlighted the resolution of recent turmoil, stating, “The prolonged period of confusion has reached a turning point, and there is clearer direction for addressing ongoing issues. I am hopeful that there will be significant progress soon in renewing Min Hee Jin’s contract as NewJeans’ producer.”
He reassured employees of HYBE’s unwavering commitment to supporting NewJeans, stating, “Despite the challenges, the company remains fully dedicated to supporting NewJeans in becoming a global artist.”
Lee also addressed the controversy surrounding the “HYBE Internal Report,” acknowledging the need for improvement, saying, “This has been a reminder of the many areas where HYBE can become a better company and continue improving the music industry’s environment.” He emphasized the importance of examining the company’s work processes and ensuring they align with HYBE’s values.
Regarding issues raised during the dispute with Min, Lee said, “The various issues revealed during this process will be addressed gradually, even if it takes time. We are also considering personnel changes, carefully evaluating their scope to maintain operational stability.”
Lee concluded by reinforcing HYBE’s commitment to improvement and accountability, stating, “We will address necessary changes and hold accountability where appropriate, aiming for a more advanced and transparent K-pop industry.”
On October 29 KST, the Seoul Central District Court dismissed Min’s request for an injunction, stating that ADOR board members are under no legal obligation to follow HYBE’s instructions and that the injunction would have no legal impact.
