The rumor that an NCT fan was behind SUGA's protest trucks is spreading online.
Previously on August 16th, protest trucks with messages demanding that SUGA leave BTS were seen making rounds around HYBE headquarters. Messages included "7-1=6. ARMY will fill in the gap, so drunk driver SUGA OUT" and more, making them sound like messages from disappointed fans.
On September 2nd, however, rumors alleging the organizer behind the protests was an NCT fan started circulating online.
The rumors were raised after the organizer shared the Google spreadsheet showing the receipts, which accidentally revealed the email address of the organizer. When Googled, the Pinterest user using the said email address had multiple NCT Jaehyun's pictures.
The organizer continued to claim that they were ARMY, saying the Pinterest account was for their work. However, fans found out more that the organizer had previously been to NCT 127's event following the release of the 'Fact Check' album, which only select fans get to attend.
Fans reacted: "I wonder what's prompting them to spend so much money just to bring someone down."
"Definitely not an ARMY. What ARMY plans to protest on a member's birthday?"
"Okay, so let's say that they are actually a multi-stan. How can you trust a multi to organize such protests? How am I supposed to know that what you are doing isn't going to benefit your other group?"
"So while your group's member is out there sexually assaulting someone, you were organizing protests to split the other group?"
Meanwhile, SUGA is facing charges of operating an electric scooter while under the influence of alcohol on August 6th. When police administered a breathalyzer test, his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) level was 0.227%. On August 30th, the Seoul Yongsan Police forwarded SUGA's electric scooter DUI case to prosecution.
