The boy band DAY6 has become the first and only artist with more than one song attaining a ‘Real Time All-Kill’ status in Korean Charts in 2024.
As of September 15, 9 AM KST, DAY6’s “HAPPY” has achieved its first ‘Real Time All-Kill’, making it their second song to do so in 2024. The track belongs to their album ‘FOUREVER’, released earlier in March. Their first ‘Real Time All-Kill’ song in 2024 was “Melt Down” from their latest album ‘Band Aid’.
The ‘Real Time All-Kill’ status refers to taking the number one spot at the same time across four of Korea’s major music streaming platforms: MelOn, FLO, Genie, and Bugs. Other songs that have attained a ‘Real Time All-Kill’ in 2024 include IU’s “Love wins all,” BIBI’s “Bam Yang Gang,” (G)I-DLE’s “FATE,” ILLIT’s “Magnetic,” ZICO’s “SPOT! (feat. JENNIE),” aespa’s “Supernova,” and Lee Young Ji’s “Small Girl (feat. Doh Kyung Soo).”
This monumental moment demonstrates DAY6’s popularity locally, especially its recent surge. While DAY6’s songs have always been well-loved by the Korean public, they have been reaching new heights in 2024, post-military service.
