Comedian Um Ji Yoon shares behind-the-scenes story of meeting soccer player Erling Haaland.

On the August 21 KST episode of MBC's variety show 'Radio Star' (episode 878), guests included Park Kal Rin, Seo Dong Joo, Pung Ja, and Um Ji Yoon.

During the show, Um Ji Yoon revealed, "I never had someone people said I resembled. But recently, I saw a comment on a video of mine saying, 'Um Ji Yoon looks like Haaland.' It turns out he's a world-class player. When I looked into his career, I noticed there were also comments on his videos saying, 'He looks like Um Ji Yoon.' Honestly, I do see the resemblance. He’s a full-blooded Norwegian, and I have a distinctly East Asian face, but our thick lips and lower faces are very similar."

She then proudly shared that she had actually met Haaland. Haaland visited Korea, and Coupang Play arranged the opportunity for them to meet.

Um Ji Yoon explained, "Apparently, Haaland had seen one of my videos. I even did an interview with him and watched a match. Even though he's a world-class player, he's younger than me, so I patted him on the shoulder and said, 'Play well out there.' The public video ends there, but behind the scenes, the security guards pulled me away for touching the player, which was pretty funny."

Yoo Se Yoon then commented, "I only saw the video up to that point, so I thought it was all planned," to which Um Ji Yoon clarified, "It wasn’t." When asked if the show 'Kick a Goal' had contacted her, she added, "I heard that if I say okay, they’ll definitely let me on the show."
