Former ADOR employee 'B' will be filing both civil and criminal lawsuits against CEO Min Hee Jin today (August 23 KST), accusing Min of covering up a past workplace sexual harassment case filed by 'B' at ADOR.
Additionally, 'B' intends on reporting vice president 'A', the individual accused of committing sexual harassment against 'B', to the Ministry of Employment and Labor for irrational behavior and mistreatment in the workplace.
'B', a former employee of ADOR, previously filed a report against vice president 'A' for sexual harassment and mistreatment on March 6 of this year, when she was still employed at the company. An investigation team was formed by HYBE's headquarters, and on March 16, the investigation concluded with 'B' being found "not guilty" of sexual harassment. He also received a warning for his allegations of mistreatment.
Later on, it was revealed that Min Hee Jin had worked with 'A' behind the scenes to ensure that the vice president did not face consequences for the report.
Furthermore, according to 'B', following the conclusion of the sexual harassment investigation, she was notified of her relocation at work to a different department, where she would work directly under 'A', while her income was reduced by 40%.
Details about the above incident were, in fact, publicized against 'B's will earlier this year during the internal dispute between Min Hee Jin and HYBE. Private KakaoTalk messaged exchanged between Min Hee Jin and vice president 'A' were disclosed by various media outlets, through which 'B' discovered for the first time since leaving ADOR that Min and 'A' had verbally insulted her while taking measures to cover up the sexual harassment case.
When 'B' attempted to contact Min Hee Jin for an apology, Min Hee Jin did not respond. Most recently, in a supposed attempt to clarify her position in the case, Min Hee Jin even went on to expose more private KakaoTalk messages between her and 'A' about 'B', further slandering 'B'.
As a result, 'B' intends on reporting Min Hee Jin to the police for violating the Labor Standards Act as well as the Information Protection Act, pursuing justice.
