Comedian Kim Si Duk shared a shocking eulogy after his father passed away.
On August 17th, the comedian personally announced on his Instagram that his biological father had passed away. But in his post, some shocking statements showed his ambivalent emotions regarding his father's passing.
Kim Si Duk wrote, "Obituary. I received the news that my father had passed away. I'm just rambling because I'm confused about how I feel right now.
Growing up, I was gaslighted as a child who shouldn't have been born, and I remember spending my childhood feeling so sorry and guilty for both my father's side and my mother's side.
At the end of the day, however, they neglected me for their own happiness and failed to fulfill their responsibilities as parents.
I remember vowing to get back at them by being successful in my adolescence as that scar transformed into resentment.
I think I was obsessed with making people laugh because I liked seeing them like me when I made them laugh.
As an adult, after becoming a comedian, I was left with nothing but disappointment when they came to me and only asked me to do unreasonable things. This led me to commit to not repeating the cycle once I got married.
Before writing this post, I asked my child if he could give me a hug without explaining why, and he hugged me and told me 'I love you,' something I never heard from my parents.
I don't know if you can hear this. But I am so happy to have a real family now. To my dad, who told me if only I hadn't been born, I'll tell you what I always wanted to say.
Thank you so much for letting me be born.
Thanks to you, I met my family.
If there is a next life, please don't be my father.
Goodbye."
Back in 2022, Kim Si Duk revealed in an interview that he is an illegitimate son. He said that he went through a childhood that no one should have gone through as neither his biological father nor his biological mother claimed him as their son. Reportedly, he wasn't registered on the family register for a while. "My father went back to his family and my mother also went her own way after I was born. I was envious of my friend who was in an orphanage. I lived alone in a small room that my parents gave me since I was 9."
