On July 10 KST, Yoo Seung Joon took to social media to refute allegations that he had posted malicious comments online. He shared several photos along with the caption, "This is not me."

The photos included screenshots from a news video about a delivery rider strike ahead of a World Cup match involving South Korea. One of the screenshots showed a comment from Yoo Seung Joon's official YouTube account, saying, "If you're not good at studying and have nothing, you have to be a delivery driver."

In response to the backlash and news articles criticizing him for the comment, Yoo Seung Joon stated, "Someone used a fake account to write strange comments. Shouldn't you verify the facts before writing articles? This is ridiculous." He continued, "I will take legal action against those spreading false information and those impersonating me to post malicious comments. Please be aware of impersonation."

In related news, on November 30 of last year, the Supreme Court upheld a ruling in favor of Yoo Seung Joon in his lawsuit against the Los Angeles (LA) Consulate General regarding the rejection of his passport and visa issuance.

Yoo Seung Joon had previously filed a lawsuit in 2020, following a similar case in 2015, to challenge the rejection of his Overseas Korean Visa by the LA Consulate General. After losing the initial case, the appellate court ruled in his favor on July 13. The LA Consulate General appealed, but the Supreme Court upheld the appellate court's decision, thus allowing Yoo Seung Joon to enter South Korea.
