Borrowing the words of industry insiders, various media outlets reported on July 4 KST that girl group NewJeans has been selected as the 2024 honorary ambassadors for the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO).

However, in response to the reports, a representative of ADOR commented, "This is something we are unable to confirm at this time." The Korea Tourism Organization issued a similar response, stating, "It has been decided that the official response to this news is to reply, 'unable to confirm'." 

Meanwhile, NewJeans were previously chosen as ambassadors for South Korea's Incheon International Airport in March of this year.
