According to YG Entertainment, YG Executive Producer Yang Hyun Suk met with 2NE1 on the afternoon of June 27 KST at the new YG headquarters in Hapjeong-dong, Seoul.
YG explained that during the approximately two-hour official meeting, they engaged in meaningful and significant conversations.
This gathering is particularly noteworthy because it was an official meeting at the YG headquarters rather than an informal, private get-together. Considering that the members visited to commemorate their 15th debut anniversary and personally met with Yang Hyun Suk, there is strong speculation about a new 2NE1 project, drawing global fans' attention.
YG stated, "Since this was the first conversation between Yang Hyun Suk and the 2NE1 members in eight years, there are no concrete plans yet. However, Yang Hyun Suk, who has a special affection for 2NE1, listened to the members' requests and shared his empathy, so we hope to deliver good news to fans soon."
Sandara Park also hinted at a possible comeback during her appearance on SBS' 'Cultwo Show at 2PM,' saying, "If I say anything, it might become an official statement, so I can't share much right now. But as a huge 2NE1 fan, I hope there will be good news."
