Gyuri has asked for prayers from her loved ones ahead of her surgery.
On July 14, the KARA member posted on her official X account, requesting viewers to send their prayers before her surgery the next day. Accompanying a photo of her feet as she lay on a hospital bed, Gyuri wrote:
"I undergo surgery tomorrow.
I wanted to rely on the shoulders of my people.
Please pray for me."
According to her label, Big Boss Entertainment, Gyuri recently sustained severe fractures in her cheekbone and eye socket during a private schedule and sought medical examination. Doctors advised surgery, followed by a recovery period of four to five weeks.

"Everything will be fine. Stay strong."
