Hyeri has revealed her passion for cheerleading in still cuts for 'Victory'.
On July 2, the upcoming movie 'Victory' released still cuts of Hyeri's character Pil Sun, a high school student who pacifies the troubled waters of Geoje Island with her dance skills. Pil Sun possesses a passionate determination to pursue her goals without hesitation and exudes confidence and bold charm wherever she goes.
In the released still cuts, Hyeri perfectly embodies the 2000s vibe with oversized clothes, short bangs, and a carefree hairstyle.
Hyeri expressed, "When I read the script for 'Victory', I felt overwhelmed imagining Pil Sun dancing to the songs of that era. Preparing for 'Victory', I had to challenge myself with cheerleading, hip hop, and even dialects. It was an opportunity to try things I've never done before."
Director Park Bum Soo commented, "I had Hyeri in mind from the first draft of the script. She fulfills many elements required - energy, diverse talents, physical ability, and loveliness. I believed this movie should run on Pil Sun's energy and charm. Ultimately, her contribution to the film is immense to the point it feels like her movie."
'Victory' premieres on August 14 KST.
