The news of Jason (Lee Sang Jin) from the producing team 2LSON passing away during a visit to Thailand has recently come to light, deeply affecting those close to him. LE, a member of 2LSON for 10 years, expressed his sorrow and remembrance for Jason.
On the 26th, Xports News conducted an exclusive phone interview with LE.
LE spoke about the late Jason in the interview, stating, "He was the heart of 2LSON's music. The unique R&B pop sound of our music started with him. I deeply trusted, respected, and admired him as an artist. The time we spent together is incredibly precious to me."
LE revealed that he had been experiencing a musical slump for years, saying, "I couldn't even listen to music and was unsure when my burnout would end. But after Jason's sudden passing, I started listening to music again. I felt like it was thanks to him that I could listen to music again, and I began thinking about resuming my music activities even without Jason."
LE added that continuing music activities without Jason would be challenging, saying, "I wonder if there’s any meaning in continuing music without Sang Jin, who was the core of our music."
The news of Jason's death was belatedly announced through the SNS of 2LSON member Noel.
Recently, Park Noel shared, "It doesn't feel real. I heard the news that a member of 2LSON, who was like a brother to me for 10 years, has passed away," thus announcing Jason's passing.
Jason reportedly passed away suddenly from a heart attack during a visit to Thailand for rest in mid-June. He was 43 years old. The unexpected news has led to an outpouring of condolences from many.
2LSON is a producing team comprising composers Jason, LE, and Noel. They debuted in 2011 with the release of "Hocus-Pocus" and have since produced various works.
