On May 2, netizens began comparing "Lucky Girl Syndrome", a track from ILLIT's recent debut EP album 'Super Real Me', to "Favorite Liar", a 2016 song by American pop rock band The Wrecks. The topic began trending on the online community board theqoo, and it looks like many believe the two songs are indeed very similar.

Netizens commented, "It's quite similar," "It's the same," "It's way too similar," "I'm shocked that it sounds the same to my ears, but people still claim it's not plagiarized? The industry is fascinating," and more.
