On May 24 KST, aespa launched pre-orders for a special CD player ver. of the group's 1st full album, 'Armageddon'. 

The creative, retro-inspired album design immediately drew explosive interest from not only fans of aespa, but also other K-Pop fans and even non-fans!

The CD player ver. contains a CD copy of aespa's 'Armageddon', a functioning CD player equipped with both a headphone jack and bluetooth capacity, 5 photocards, and 10 graphic stickers, and is priced at 145,000 KRW ($105.96 USD). 

Many fans and non-fans alike were intrigued by the CD player's functionality, as it seemed likely that the CD player itself could be used to listen to not only aespa's album, but any other CDs. 

As soon as the pre-orders for 'Armageddon' (CDP ver.) opened on May 24 KST, it initially sold out. The product then became available again for a short time in the afternoon, and netizens noted that over 500,000 people had shown interest in the album on the official SMTOWN & STORE website. Currently, it is once again sold out. (As of writing, the CDP ver. is only available for shipping within South Korea.)
