SBS, known for its successful seasonal dramas, has announced the electrifying return of its hit series “The Fiery Priest” with an ensemble cast including Kim Nam Gil, Lee Ha Nee, Kim Sung Kyun, and Kim Hyung Seo (BIBI) for its highly anticipated second season.

Scheduled to air in the latter half of 2024, “The Fiery Priest 2” continues the tale of the passionate priest Kim Hae Il, played by Kim Nam Gil, as he ventures from the rural setting to tackle a drug-related case in Busan. The series promises a blend of extreme cooperation, comedic investigation, and thrilling confrontations as Kim Hae Il, along with his comrades Park Kyung Sun and Koo Dae Young, teams up with the fiery detective Gu Ja Young to take on the criminal underworld and its desires to establish a major drug cartel.

Following the immense success of the first season, which recorded a peak viewership of 24% during its original run, “The Fiery Priest 1” garnered widespread acclaim and requests for a sequel. Now, after five years, the return of “The Fiery Priest 2” is set to ignite excitement once again.
