KARA's Jiyoung called out a police officer for allegedly rude behavior.
On April 23, Jiyoung shared the below message on social media with her followers. According to the KARA member, she was visiting the police station for her license, which she thoroughly researched before her visit.
During her visit, Jiyoung noticed an older lady renewing her license as well as the police officer's attitude towards the older lady. She wrote, "She was there to renew her license. Now that I think back, there are times when our parents need to renew their licenses. Out of the questions the elderly woman was asked, she was asked whether her vision was over 0.8, which is a requirement by the country. The woman said her vision wasn't over 0.8. The officer then bluntly replied that she couldn't renew her license today or she should immediately get new glasses."
Jiyoung continued, "What saddened me greatly is that what if the person next to me had been my mother? If the person assisting her was unhelpful and rude if my mother didn't know what to do, I would feel like my world was falling apart seeing that situation."
She concluded, "You might say it's not a big deal, but in this age of rapid development with kiosks and apps, sometimes it's even hard to keep up for me... I wish they would provide large-print instructions or make easier instructions for adults. They might not know how to search for instructions online or find it difficult. (You might wonder who am I to say these things, but if I can help, I'll participate in helping to create instructions.)"
Jiyoung criticized the police officer in question for not clearly explaining the instructions to the elderly woman, and she was teary seeing how embarrassed the woman was. She then said she felt shaky unable to help the woman out.
What are your thoughts on Jiyoung's post?

Of course you need good vision to drive. That's not the issue here. The issue was the police officer was rude in delivering the news to the old lady. He was blunt, rude, showed no consideration for her or kindly told her what steps to follow to fix this problem. It was the treatment that is the problem.
